Based on specialized highly efficient cell-free translation systems RiNA provides a complete solution of synthesizing a broad range of proteins.
Two-Phase-Approach
In order to minimize your costs and risk, RiNA’s Protein Expression Service (PEX) is set up as a Two-Phase-Approach.
In the Core Modules of Phase I we generate the optimal expression template, evaluate protein yield as well as homogeneity and screen for improved solubility. The evaluation phase is performed at a fixed price.
In Phase II protein synthesis will be upscaled based on the optimized conditions of Phase I.
Optionally, the Two-Phase-Approach can be expanded with Extension Modules (e.g. for affinity purification, labelling).
Gene
Our customers can provide an expression plasmid, a cloned ORF or a sequence.
Opimization
We generate the optimal expression template and screen for improved protein solubility.
Expression Evaluation
We evaluate yield, solubility and homogeneity of the protein at a fixed price (Phase I).
Report + Quote
A detailed documentation of results provides a basis for the quote of protein synthesis upscaling (Phase II).
Upscaling
Protein synthesis is upscaled according to optimized conditions of expression evaluation.
Protein
The protein will be shipped to you. If desired, we will purify, trim or further analyze your protein.
Outstanding flexibility
We use the open nature of the system to adapt reaction conditions to the requirements of your protein allowing for improvement of solubility/functionality (e.g. osmoprotectants, cofactors) and for introduction of modified amino acids (e.g. labels for structural analysis, biotin).
Furthermore, our customers can choose between prokaryotic and eukaryotic translation systems enabling high yield protein synthesis in the milligram range as well as posttranslational modifications.
